Hi Fredy,

Thanks for organizing the session today. I learned a lot tonight, and the Spirit has moved me to do more research to thoroughly understand today's lesson.
I noticed you blind copied all members of the meeting tonight, so i wondered if you could do me a favour and pass this along to the English speaking group. I wanted to share with the English speaking breakout members of our discussion what i had only mentioned over the video but i didn't have it handy to share. Hopefully, you still remember who were the English speaking members and help me forward this along. Thanks.

In our discussion, we talked about the seven days of creation and i decided to share what i had learned recently having come across the following YouTube video which was based on Jeff Cavins "The Bible Timeline", a bible study i had attended at Holy Spirit a few years ago. Although Jeff never brought up the table I will share with you below, the presenter in this YouTube video (Nicolas Lebish) presented based on Jeff's book and illustrated the days in a whole new manner i had never thought about. However, I will point out there are some small discrepancies; I did a comparison of all the Genesis passages to the table below and found it not to be entirely accurate (eg. the Seas were created on Day 3 not Day 2 - this is my logical part of brain at work) but i think it still is a very good illustration of the creation story by splitting the "Rulers' vs. the "Realms". I had never thought of the creation story like this!

The way Nicolas describes this is that before God created the heavens and the earth, "the earth was without form and void". My bible says "the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep". Basically, the earth was empty and formless. So Nicolas' table addresses these two "cosmic" problems. You can start listening to his recording around the 5 minute mark. I shared this table verbally with the English-speaking group. In case they'd like to see this table again, here it is.

The other thing i learned today that blew me away was the parallel that Eve and Mary appeared on the 7th day. I thought that conflicted with what i knew about the Genesis story since i remembered the 7th day being the Sabbath, the day God finished his work and rested. To realize that God didn't create Eve until after Adam fell into deep sleep which implied she was created (and appeared) on the seventh day was enlightening to me today! I've read it many times before but i never made such a connection before. Here are my notes below if anyone in my group is interested!

 Old TestamentNew Testament
Day 7Genesis 2:3
God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it, God rested from all the work that he had done in creation (The Sabbath).
Genesis 2:21-22
God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man and he slept (end of Day 6); then He took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man (occurred on Day 7). èEve appears on Day 7 in the first creation.
Exodus 31:16-17
Therefore the Israelites shall keep the sabbath, observing the sabbath throughout their generations, as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
John 2:1-11
Wedding at Cana is where Mary first appears and Jesus performs his first miracle. John is telling us this is the "new" Sabbath. è Mary appears on Day 7 of the new creation.

Thanks again for an enlightening session! God bless!
Kind regards,
Mandy
